Metro: Last Light Review | GamesTM

GamesTM: "Much of Metro: Last Light lacks the depth of the first entry, ultimately undercutting the challenge that players faced in the original. For instance, the monetary system based on military grade ammunition is of little concern for the majority of the game, as ammo and weapons are easy enough to discover. Not once during our playthrough did we have to resort to blowing our cash (quite literally) using currency as a replacement for our spent bullets. Last Lights approach to survivalist mentality is superficial at best a collection of interesting tools that looks great but adds little."

James Damian of Vivid Gamer writes: "When publisher THQ declared bankruptcy late last year, it left many gamers wondering whether some of their planned upcoming releases would see the light of day. One of the many titles that I personally was worried about was 4A Games sequel to their underappreciated 2010 release Metro 2033. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow, this survival horror title was moody, atmospheric and while flawed was still enjoyable. Although the game didnt set remarkable numbers, many of its fans (like myself) were excited for its sequel. After three years though was our wait worth it?"

Trust is rarer than common sense and betrayal is the most preferred currency. The human race is hanging by a thread and people are busy doing what they do best killing each other. Oh, and there are mutants too! So welcome to hell and good luck trying to stay alive let alone saving the world! Metro Last Light is a game that will actually make you tremble and quiver.

Metro: Last Light PC Review l Vortex Effect

Vortex Effect: As stated in the opening, theres nothing dumbed down about this game and I enjoyed it more than part one thanks to some subtle refinements to the gameplay. Thus far that seems to be the growing consensus out there amongst fans of this series and I hope theres a part 3 or some kind of continuation of the concept.
